what we do
At New Horizons Centre, we believe that seniors should have access to opportunities that promote their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and help them maintain their independence and quality of life. We offer a wide range of programs and services, including weekly games of Bridge, Mah Jongg, Billiards, floor curling, swimming, and more, beginner computer classes, Fun and Fitness exercise classes, and Line dancing. We also hold special events and programs throughout the year to celebrate holidays, milestones, and other occasions.

The Best Facilities
The Moncrief Construction Recreation Centre offers a variety of facilities including an indoor pool, fitness center, indoor track, ice rinks, and multi-purpose rooms for various activities and events.

Get help with your taxes
New Horizons provides a free tax preparation clinic for those who meet certain qualifications and need help completing their tax returns.
Activities
Our centers promote a full life for seniors through various activities such as fun and fitness, gentle exercise/Tai Chi, computer classes, billiards, bridge, Euchre and cribbage, handbell ringers and bells ensemble, whist, and Mah Jongg. Join us for other activities starting in 2023 with chair yoga, Rise to the Rhythm, Balmy Drums, Cardio Drumming, floor curling, water fitness, multicultural and healthy eating food classes.
